Art: Painting and Drawing for Beginners & Intermediates
Mondays 1.30pm to 3.30pm term time only (Main Hall) The 3 hour option is no longer offered.
A fun weekly class in Drawing and Painting with one-to-one tuition from practicing artist and tutor Bethany Milam. Suitable for beginners and intermediates. Explore different skills and techniques working at your own pace. Bring your own projects or work from a still life/photos provided by the tutor. Tea / Coffee Included.
This class follows the Hampshire school term dates, and students are asked to pre-pay for the term. Prices vary slightly each term owing to fluctuations in the number of weeks in the school term, but are kept as low as possible.

Bethany Milam, BA (Hons) is an Interdisciplinary Fine Artist and engages with a variety of media, including painting, drawing, mixed media and installations. She has a passion for wildlife and birdwatching. Her portraits often depict friends, family and familiar faces around Basingstoke. She also finds joy in creating art that tells a story, out of everyday experiences and scenes.
Having a PGCE in Life Long Learning Bethany is an experienced art tutor and workshop leader, a member of the Institute for Learning she believes that Art should be accessible to everyone. A patient and generous teacher she hopes to inspire her students both young and old. She runs regular classes in a number of venues for both beginners and more advanced painters as well as one-off workshops and demonstrations. She is now teaching classes online.
She has taught for Hampshire Achieves (used to be called Futures) (Adult Education), Learning at the Centre (Basingstoke Discovery Centre), Hampshire Learning (Hampshire Libraries), and the Adult and Community Learning Partnership (Basingstoke College of Technology).
